Bryalon Edwards Will Not Be in NY Next Season

Sorry Giants fans no Braylon Edwards for you!
Last week my husband was talking trash about how the Giants got rid of one great receiver for another , but looks like the deal between the Browns and the Giants for Brylon Edwards is not going to happen. The NY Post reports this morning saying
"According to a source familiar with the situation, the Giants no longer see any hope of acquiring the Cleveland receiver and are moving forward with their plans to take a receiver early in the NFL draft. The sticking point still appears to be GM Jerry Reese's refusal to part with the Giants' first-round pick and the Browns' refusal to take anything less."

Who knows what will happen with Edwards, maybe the Giants are playing games with the Browns to lower the price or maybe they are simply just not interested and see other WR prospects in the upcoming draft on Saturday.
Looks like Cleveland is going to have to lower their offer  either way if they want to trade Edwards before the draft.

I think Cleveland, like Cards are shooting themselves in the foot. When you can't get a deal done for two solid receivers, there's a problem. It's not like one team was balking, if someone else was willing to pay their price, it would have been done.

I agree, and good points. How are these 2 top recievers not getting signed. This is sooo drawn out and taking forever. Baltimore fans were going nuts here reporting Boldin was coming here, but that hasn't happen yet either.  Have a feeling now both Boldin and Edwards will stay where they are at this point. Still keeping the faith for Boldin in Green though ha.

The one who I'm also really surprised hasn't landed somewhere for a year or so is Marvin. I think once he lands others will fall into place but I think some are also hesitant on settling if they can get someone else.
I think Cleveland overestimated what the Giants and other teams who need receiving help would be willing to pay and the clubs are showing they're not that desperate and not willing to mortgage future for now. You worried about Sheldon in Green?

I am annoyed that Sheldon decided to bring this to the public, think it is only going to make things worse for him. But then I also heard reports denying any sort of feud between him and the Eagles. So hope it just all blows over. I like Sheldon. He's been an Eagles for awhile now.
