2009 MLB Opening Day!

Major League Baseball is Back!! Fantasy Baseball players are ready!

Last night the 20098 World Champions Philadelphia Phillies kicked off the 2009 MLB season hosting the Atlanta Braves. Philadelphia got to celebrate another night remembering the World Series win back in October. Unfortunately, the celebration did not last too long as the Phillies struggled against the Braves. Giving up a 2 run homer very early ended up  losing 4-1. The Braves made a statement that 2009 is a new season and a new start for the rest of MLB.

The rest of the league has their Opening Day today. With the NY Mets in Cincinnati playing the  Reds. AL East Rivals Baltimore Orioles play host to the NY Yankees. Who have a lot to prove this year after not making the playoffs last season. They are hoping their new stadium new pitchers will give them a fresh start. The Chicago Cubs play in Houston tonight.

Already weather has postponed Boston RedSoxs opener against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and the Chicago White Soxs have postponed their game today against the KC Royals due to weather.

They might play. It is suppose to stop raining according to the weather.com around 2. But they also say it is suppose to be raining here in Baltmore and it is not. So who knows. Hope they play!

I hope they do too -- I swear weather is the only job where we have no faith whatsoever in those doing their jobs to get it right.

Maybe a nice rain delay so I can see some of it? Selfish? Me? Never
