Jonathan Vilma former linebacker for the NY Jets now plays for the New Orleans Saints is having a rough week. On Tuesday, two men were found shot and dead in his house in Long Island. Police Reports say that the two men that were shot were involved in an internet scan.
Vilma is not under arrest at this time. He has had the house on the market, and was in Miami during the time of the murders.
But something doesn't make sense here. There was no sign of a break in. Police are saying a man claiming to be the football players cousin did have access to his home.
The Victims Ansu Keita, 32, and Sekou Sakor, 31, Liberian immigrants who shared an apartment in the Bronx, were running an internet scam known as "black paper scam" This scam makes the buyer believe that have smuggled money from overseas. They send them the "black ink" money telling them they have this special bleach to wash away the ink that is used to disguise the money. The whole thing is a scam.
Police think that those killed Ansu and Sekou tried to trick the wrong people, and it cost them their lives. Now we will wait to see if Saints Linebacker Jonathan Vilma had anything to do with any of this.
