When Giants top WR shot himself in the leg last year, the team suspensded Plaxico for the rest of the season without pay, and with held the last 1 million dollars of his 4.5  million signing bonus.

Burress and his lawyers began the fight today to get that money. They don't expect a decision until next week. 
Meanwhile his gun possession case was postponed until June 15th ,where it will be likely that he will serve jail time.

He should not receive one more cent from his signing bonus. Under his contract says he has to follow the law off the field. He obviously did not do that!  Plaxico is an idiot and should go to jail. This guy has no excuse for why he was carrying a gun without a permit for it. If he felt threated hire a bodyguard with some of the signing bonus buddy.
 
If  Plaxico goes to jail, the Giants passing game will fall apart without Burress next season, just like the end of last.  I can't wait to watch Eli struggle against the rush, and won't be able to just throw it up in the air to Plaxico. The Giants passing game will fall apart .It will be great!
