NFL's Commissioner, Roger Goodell, had a meeting today to discuss the idea of expanding the regular season to 17 or 18 games. Team owners will get a proposal next month that will show elimination of one or two preseason games and adding one or two regular season games.
I hope that the owners agree to this! Pushing the Super Bowl to February would be awesome considering there's nothing else really on in my opinion (unless you care about the Daytona 500 and/or the NBA Basketball game).
Also, I always get nervous thinking my favorite player will get hurt before the season even starts. Then again, what if the get hurt right before the playoffs because of the extra games?
What do you think?
Jason Campbell QB for the Washington Redskins has stated that he will request a trade if the Redskins draft another QB. The redskins have the 13th overall pick and have their eyes on QB Mark Sanchez. Most likely QB Sanchez will go much higher in the draft and the Redskins will have to trade for him if they really want him.
The Redskins also were looking for a new QB in Jay Cutler when he wanted out of Denver. Campbell was picked in the first round by the Redskins in 2005. So are the Redskins not giving this guy enough time to prove he can play? Or are the Redskins right in trying to replace the QB?
My thoughts are why is Jason going to demand a trade he would most likely only be a back up QB somewhere else. Bad move giving an ultimatum like that.
Also, rumors are the first pick Detroit Lions are finishing the deal with QB Matt Stafford and he will be the first pick tomorrow. Can't wait to see! Will you watch the draft tomorrow? Any draft parties?
Personally, I will prob miss most of it. It is going to be 75 here and we are going on my parents boat. Their is a tv on their so I am sure we will have it on.
With the NFL Draft upon us this weekend, I was thinking about former busts and then Eli Manning popped up into my head. Not that Eli is a bust, but because how much of a crybaby he was when he said he wouldn't sign with San Diego if they drafted him. I then thought of that drunk photo of him...and many more photos. Enjoy!

Oh that's Rex Grossman haha

Poor Tony!
Former Charger and Cowboy QB Ryan Leaf (Center...shirt ripped open). He was the #2 overall pick in 1998. After no success in the NFL, he spent some time coaching in college but soon resigned after asking a player for a pain pill. Hmmm at least he's still having fun??
and....Eii Manning...shirtless...hahahahahahaha...sorry

Philadelphia Eagles re signed WR Hank Baskett to a one year contract. They did not disclose money agreements. The receiver has been an Eagle for 3 seasons.
Hank Baskett is getting married this summer to Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson. They have a reality show coming out this summer. I wonder how much we will see Baskett because Coach of the Eagles Andy Reid and owner Jeffery Laurie are not fans of the media spotlight. This is good for the Eagles to have him back, and I am sure he is glad to come back and not have to worry about starting over somewhere else after just getting married.

The 2009 ESPY's will be hosted this year by actor Samuel L Jackson for the fourth time. Ughh so boring. No one will be able to top Justin Timeberlake from last year. Just like the best Victoria Secret Fashion Show was the year that Justin sang Sexy Back and Love Song.
But seriously Justin was soooo funny last year. I want to see Chris Rock, or even like Ashton Kutcher, or Adam Sandler. All into sports and funny guys. Oh well. You can see Jackson hosting the ESPY's again airing July 19th.
